With over 10 years of work experience in various roles, I am a skilled and versatile set dresser at IATSE Local 891, the union representing film and TV technicians in British Columbia. I work with the art department to create and maintain sets for different productions, ensuring that they match the script and the director's vision. I also manage the inventory of props, furniture, and equipment, and coordinate with other departments and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient delivery and installation. I have a strong background in team building, inventory control, and inventory management, which I developed in my previous roles as a department supervisor and a receiver at The Home Depot Canada. There, I oversaw the operations and performance of multiple departments, trained and coached associates, and handled the receiving and stocking of products. I have a passion for geography and a BA degree from the University of the Fraser Valley, which helps me to understand and appreciate the diverse landscapes and cultures that I encounter in my work. I am motivated by the challenge and creativity of set dressing, and by the opportunity to contribute to the success and quality of the film and TV industry in BC. I am always eager to learn new skills, collaborate with different teams, and support the vision and goals of the producers and directors.
