As dual rated pilot with over 24000 hours of flight time, I enjoy a well rounded aviation background which allows me to speak from experience on many different facets of aviation. I have flown helicopter's in combat, as a Chief Pilot/Flight manager for a large domestic Jet charter company, as a corporate pilot for two of the wealthiest families in the United States, as an International Charter pilot flying heavy jets for a FAR Part 121 non-scheduled airline, and over 20 years as a Pilot/Check Pilot for a major domestic airline. I finished my professional flying career as an off shore helicopter pilot servicing oil platforms and ships as far as 225 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. My aviation background includes training and evaluating pilots from initial flight training up to Captain qualification training at the air carrier level. Cockpit Resource Management, Human Factors Safety representative, ATC liaison, Flight Department policies and procedures, Critical Incident Stress Management, are all major areas I have been involved with either as a program developer or an Instructor/Facilitator. While my professional flying career has ended, I continue to fly as a private pilot, and enjoy sharing my love of flying with any and all who are interested in learning about this fascinating environment.Away from the flight deck, I am a volunteer for the American Red Cross and have been able to respond to many local and natural disasters as an Emergency Response Vehicle driver supporting first responders and providing assistance to families and individuals for their immediate needs. At the ammonia plant explosion in West, Texas, I was responsible for the managing of, and the implementation of the community kitchen/feeding management plan for the Red Cross response.
