I have Plc Board experience in two countries and have been profit responsible for businesses on four continents.I am an NED and member of the Board of Governors of Nottingham Trent University, and currently am Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee, having previously been Chairman of the Finance and Resource Committee I am also the Governors’ nominated representative on the Board of Trustees for the Student Union at NTU.I previously completed a five year contract as a Non-Exec. Director and Deputy Chairman of Peters Ltd, South Africa..I resigned in June 2006 from the position of Non Executive Deputy Chairman and Director of Millfield Plc, a company in the Financial Services Sector, on its change of ownership, having served on the Board for three years.I retired early from full time employment as a Main Board Executive Director of Polestar Limited, the largest printer in the UK. I was operationally responsible for thirteen speciality printing businesses which I managed and rationalised, having completed a strategic review of the portfolio.Previously, I was Managing Director of the CCM business, St. Regis Paper Ltd, and prior to that, an Executive Director of J Bibby & Sons Plc.I have Executive Directorship and operational experience in the paper, printing, packaging, laboratory equipment, and laser-optic industries, and have held Non-Executive Director positions in the Financial Services, Educational, and Industrial sectors. I have turned around loss making operations and grown businesses organically and by worldwide acquisitions.I have a Science Degree, a Harvard Business School degree, and am strong in financial management. I have extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and disposals and have led a management buyout attempt. I have been elected Chairman of Industry Associations in the UK and South Africa.
