Enterprise Products GroupDirected architecture roadmap, product development, path-finding, R&D, validation and supplier enabling strategy in US and Asia providing new technology voltage regulators and AC-DC power supplies in support of Intel Xeon server and Itanium processor launches. Expert in initiating advanced product development activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders then deploying same into marketplace.• Responsible for $8M budget and 44 staff members in 4 countries ensuring that appropriate equipment and resources were available to meet an expanding product lineup in a timely, cost effective manner. • Thirteen years direct engagement with silicon and power supply companies including supplier selection, establishing strategic road maps and implementing appropriate Program Management and R&D interactions to ensure product requirements were met or exceeded.• Built strong and vital organizations as demonstrated by the creation and growth of a world class R&D team by meeting with direct staff privately and as a group on a weekly basis to gain insight and provide direction. Met with department level monthly mostly to report out. This effort created highly functioning and dedicated team. Each staff member had individual goals and department goals to pursue creating a cycle of continuous improvement. • Directed the strategy for identifying technology barriers in and initiated R&D efforts to remove same.• Conceptualized and implemented “Green Server” R&D program that provided 30% efficiency improvement in switching PS and industry’s highest density 90% efficient high current voltage regulator as well as several other key technology advances that are used in servers today.• Achieved outstanding success achieving cost reductions of 10-20% per year while simultaneously increasing power density and performance.
