My unique approach to obtaining an authorization includes bringing a very important process component in as early as possible–the customer. I developed a process of pre-evaluating documentation and methodologies at the Authorizing Official level before the customer submits the package for the initial A&A process steps. This approach has saved several customers thousands of dollars.A veteran with 24 years of service, my formal Navy training includes Information Systems Security Manager, Network Security Vulnerability Technician, and Advanced Network Analyst. As a subscriber to life-long learning, I have been employed by my alma mater to teach higher education courses. I strive to apply my learning to my customers' needs.Achievements: I graduated with honors from University of Maryland University College earning an MS in Cybersecurity Technology. I also hold an MS in Information Assurance and Security and a BS in Information Technology from Capella University. I was selected as Legionnaire of the Year at American Legion Tidewater Post 327 in 2009.
