For the first 4.5 years of my career at Cannondale I was based in Basel, Switzerland, at their marketing headquarters. This provided an excellent opportunity to build strong media relationships throughout Europe and gain valuable market knowledge. In 2004 I successfully built and implemented the Brand Manager working platform. This was a radical change to the original working practice of the business, but one that led to a substantial increase in efficiency and success in all areas of marketing. During this time I managed the European marketing office and was subsequently commended with an award for ‘Marketing Leadership’ in 2005 and again for ‘Creativity’ in 2006. Additionally, the strong personal relationships that I cultivated with the media during this time led to a series of self driven, innovative, press features (both in written form and video) resulting in extensive global brand/product exposure which led to an ongoing partnership with Cyclefilm and the expansion of my role as a freelance writer.MEDIA-24 PROJECTS
