As a clinical health educator and program manager at Polio Australia since November 2019, I have been advocating for people affected by polio by delivering post-polio education to healthcare professionals across the country. With my background in education and physiotherapy, I have the skills and knowledge to drive awareness and further the understanding of late effects of polio and the needs of those affected by polio. My passion for educating and for leading topic and clinician development in the health sector stems from my diverse and rich career journey, which includes six years as a primary teacher, a decade as a Colorado physiotherapist, and a gap year of traveling the world with my family. For over a decade I have developed well designed, impactful and stakeholder-endorsed learning experiences for multiple audiences. I have published condition-specific articles and clinical resources, spoken on a podcast and presented numerous webinars, and have engaged with stakeholders across the health and disability sectors in Australia and with international organisations.
