• Producing ‘Installation and Operation’ manuals for customers including Siemens & Rolls Royce. The manuals consist of written text and illustrations demonstrating how machinery is handled and installed. All work is produced in conjunction with international standards.• Constructing illustrations using Isodraw & Adobe Illustrator to show installation and handling procedures for the acoustic enclosure packages.• Producing illustrated parts lists provided for the customer to use when replacing damaged parts.• Understanding and being able to read technical drawings provided by the drawing office.• Managing multiple projects and working to deadlines.• Communicating with various departments in the workplace to gather information for the manuals.• Researching online to gather vendor documentation information.

• Using Adobe Illustrator, my role was to create illustrations either in 2D and 3D format for user manuals, which would be usedon shipping vessels.• Taking on the responsibility of an entire project, creating the illustrations, proof reading and keeping the drawings inconjunction with the in house style.• Working alongside the technical authors to create visual solutions to demonstrate various mechanical functions.• Proofing my own and others illustrations for errors which don’t follow the in house guidelines and then amending them.• Training current and new employees to develop their skills as an illustrator with so they can gain new techniques in AdobeIllustrator and Photoshop.• Working within the social committee board to develop company team moral and build self-esteem by introducing events andteam bonding exercises.

• Designing and initialising the concepts for leaflets, posters and booklets for various companies using adobe Photoshop.• Proofing work for print, setting and adjusting colours and finalising for output.• Working at the front of shop and dealing with daily customers, answering phone call queries and estimating prices for jobs.• Providing the busy daily running of the printers in various formats ranging from A1 to A5.• Working on the print finishing side of the job including cutting, stapling, gluing, binding and laminating machines.

• Organising and providing lectures for BA and NVQ students in the basics of using various design packages such as AdobePhotoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Quark Express. These lectures would usually be in front of about 10 students who werewilling to gain extra key skills. All lectures were designed and developed myself.• Assisting with the degree students in developing their design ideas and their understandings of their brief.• Helping the students present their final work in a professional manner, both visually and verbally.

• Creating advertising banners using Adobe Flash to promote weekly offers for mobile phones.• Designing newspaper adverts for the latest mobile phone offers using Adobe Illustrator and then exporting them into QuarkExpress.• Communicating with the national newspapers on a weekly basis when it came to exporting the adverts.
