30 years of technical leadership delivering commercial software. I have participated in efforts that delivered cloud native and migration solutions in AWS and Azure. My experience stretches back into legacy platforms and products such as client server and thick client.Major initiatives and successes:- Proposed and led a project that will save employer $4 million over ten years by switching from single-tenant to multi-tenant databases.- Proposed and led development of a cloud native calculation engine for business payrolls. It presently handles over 120,000 transactions per month.- Helped propose and develop a comprehensive database of the approximately 10,000 income tax authorities in the US, including taxability and rate data. This database is currently in use by 4 different products and contains millions of data items.- Part of a team that created a global enterprise payroll system that uses an AWS based set of microservices for business tier functionality.- Led a development effort to integrate 3rd party cloud apps that will be reached by end users through a client desktop product.Typical technologies used include .Net Core, AWS technologies NoSQL - S3 - EC2 - Lambda - RDS, SQL, Docker, Azure, K8s, Angular, Salesforce, REST/Microservice API design, OAuth, Redis Cache, C#, C++. I have used these technologies primarily in AWS and Azure across approximately 12 years. My most recent experience has been with .Net Core backend and AWS.My roles have had me involved in defining implementation specifications from requirements for product features and architecture. In agile environments I have taken high level requirements, worked with Product to decompose these into Acceptance Requirements and ultimately Epics and Stories.
