I have significant experience handling complex, high stakes disputes before the Commercial Court and other divisions of the High Court.I have significant experience in mediation,arbitration adjudication and other forms of dispute resolution .I have over twenty years experience managing large teams and practice management with a particular focus on business development and growth strategies.I served on the Litigation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland from 2003 to 2019 and was Chairman of the Litigation Committee from 2009 - 2011. I was appointed to serve as a Law Society nominee on the Superior Court Rules Committee.I chaired the Law Society’s working group which published the report Discovery in the Electronic Age – Proposals for Reform.I was a partner in the litigation department at LK Shields from 1998 to 2021 and served a term as chairman of the firm between 2016 and 2020 . I was a member of the management team at LK Shields for over 15 years , led the litigation department from 2014 to 2021 and established and led the employment team at LK Shields for over ten years . I established and led the Galway office of LK Shields and played a leading role in marketing and business development initiatives in the firm .I have considerable experience in developing business strategies , leading marketing campaigns and advising boards on sensitive and strategic issues .
