Zayo is a communications infrastructure company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. At Zayo, I am a member of the executive leadership team, and am responsible for assisting the company to execute on its strategic and tactical initiatives. I am also responsible for the legal and regulatory affairs of Zayo on a global basis, including:o Mergers and Acquisitions. Acted as the lead attorney for all aspects of Zayo’s $14.3BN take private transaction, announced May 8, 2019 and closed March 9, 2020. This transaction represented the largest syndicated private equity investment, the fifth largest Media & Communications leveraged buyout and the second largest leveraged buyout overall since 2008. Acted as the lead attorney for all aspects of the carve out and sale of Zayo's $1.4BN datacenter business, closed December, 2020.o Board of Directors advisement and representation, both as a publicly traded company and after the firm was taken privateo Litigation, disputes and risk managemento Customer and vendor relations and contracting. Joined Zayo as General Counsel for its Fiber Solutions Segment before being named the firm's General Counsel.

Vice President, then Senior Vice President in Level 3’s Legal Department, reporting directly to the CLO. Managed the legal organization supporting Level 3's multi billion dollar sales operation for over a decade, including personally negotiating many of the firm's largest ($100MM plus) commercial transactions. Managed Level 3's global regulatory policy team from 2012 through 2017. In that capacity, I advocated positions on the firm's behalf in various courts, at the FCC, DOJ, and on Capitol Hill. I appeared on the local news as a net neutrality advocate. I was also the Treasurer of, and therefore responsible for Level 3's Political Action Committee.

Associate, then partner in Omaha, Nebraska based law firm focusing on trial and appellate advocacy and complex commercial transactions. I left the firm when I was hired by Level 3, my largest firm client.
