Ordnance Technician Lead
CurrentAs an Egress and Ordnance Technician my role has been to maintain armament and egress systems on the A-29 Super Tucano. I provide over 18 years of expert service in the field of handling and storage of explosive ordnance as well as maintaining and troubleshooting of armament systems. As the Lead Ordnance Technician at Sierra Nevada I have supervised a team of career oriented technicians that are highly motivated to working collaboratively to provide highly efficient and time effective results in a fast paced work environment. Additionally, I have been certified by Martin Baker to perform Egress Systems maintenance since December of 2015 and received certification for 2nd Line maintenance activities in December of 2020. In this role I monitor time requirements for inspections of ejection seats as well as CAD PAD inventories and expiration dates of explosive materials associated with the egress system. Associated systems that I frequently maintain include ECS, Canopy Systems, OBOGS, Stores Management Systems. I also take advantage of dwell time by cross training with licensed mechanics and avionics.As a lead and supervisor I have been able to impart my experience on others while effectively leading maintenance efforts and operational commitment. To best meet the needs of our customers I have often filled the role of Shift Lead at Moody AFB and Site Lead in forward deployed assignments. I work closely with my supervisors to understand expectations and strive to find efficient solutions to obstacles.
