Via lectures, discussion boards and in class lab assignments I lead the students through an overview of the UI and media production general use cases (user interface, relation to other Adobe tools like Premiere and Photoshop), video production including animation and effects for broadcast, web and social media. Students gained familiarity with the core toolset and explored motion graphics, title design and special fx / visual effects. The curriculum design required creating a course from scratch. One achievement was to be able to deliver a course targeting the needs of novices - students had some knowledge of Adobe products but were beginners with After Effects and principles of animation and motion graphics. Another key was to deliver relevant information about current best practises in media production and to target course practice and production for web and social media. The most recent version was taught online. Show less -
