Responsible for providing training analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of training for employees across Europe according to the rollout plan of STAR software - a system used for end-to-end operations in Schenker land transport. The training was provided to single individuals within the company and also to large groups of people from different countries and departments. Working in a remote capacity, within a casual contract for Aula Education in the UK, this role involved the transformation of courses from various UK Universities to an online delivery model underpinned by a solid pedagogy incorporating elements of social, active and hybrid learning. My key role was to assist and mentor UK academics from leading universities in understanding an evidence-based pedagogy which included aspects such as emotional and affective engagement and social learning. Working with them week by week to guide the transformation of their content into the new platform and pedagogy required a high level of communication skill, knowledge of the education system and learning design methodologies.

My role was Learning Advisor in the Learning and Development stream of a large HR transformation project, which is collating, reviewing, rewriting and restructuring all the learning across News Limited’s twenty offices throughout Australia. I worked as a teacher within the Western Sydney Institute of TAFE for a period of 17 years. Teaching has formed the backbone of my career and is a role that I have always felt at home with. It is a wide field of endeavour encompassing multiple skills from people skills through to content expertise and project management.I always searched for new, innovative and more effective methods of instruction. Some of these developments included the writing of numerous student workbooks, the exploration of group dynamics in learning, the programming of online animations of complex concepts and delivery of content using the Internet.Some of these delivery modes are now commonplace, but in 1996 when I began the Internet-based delivery of material there was no one else in the college involved in it. Eventually, other teachers saw the benefits and I hosted their content on my site also.
