Advising individual and corporate clients, sole traders and SMEs in various and challenging legal matters including intellectual property rights, litigation matters, employment law matters, company law, dispute resolution, settlement negotiations, commercial and residential real estate, preparation of contracts, drafting commercial leases.Acting on behalf of clients at Tribunals, Mediations and the Workplace Relations Commission, and in the District Court, Circuit Court and High Court.Conducting negotiations and settlement talks in a wide variety of legal disputes e.g. contract disputes, copyright matters, trademark disputes and breach of contract matters.Addressing client’s legal requirements by carefully and objectively researching the matter at hand with the aim of resolving the particular issue in the most efficient and balanced manner.Executing a planned approach to ensure the client’s requirements and expectations are met and delivered in full with the aim of minimizing the clients’ exposure to risks and costs.

My role was initially as an Assistant Solicitor but this evolved into a role in which I had my own client portfolio working on my own initiative. My client portfolio included individual clients, sole traders and SMEs.I acted for clients in litigation matters, employment law matters, mortgage structuring, residential and commercial purchases, sales and leases of real estate.

Managing this busy legal firm on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Principal.Advising both individual and corporate clients on all legal matters.Key responsibility for the daily operations of the practice to include implementing budgetary and staffing measures.

Assisting the Principal Solicitor with the Principal’s caseload in employment matters, probate, litigation and conveyancing matters and whilst undergoing training at the Law Society of Ireland, Blackhall Place, Smithfield, Dublin to qualify as a Solicitor.First point of contact for clients.Assisting other qualified Solicitors in the practice with their caseloads.

Clients included: The Galway Arts Festival, The Stunning, Druid Theatre Company, Gopher Broke Management Limited, Macnas, MCD Productions, Go West Conference & Event Management Ltd.Co-ordination of all aspects of the management of indoor and outdoor venues to ensure the smooth and safe operation of events in the venues to safeguard the health and safety of the general public and performers.Liaising with local authority representatives and emergency services such as An Garda Siochana, Fire Officers and Ambulance personnel in the planning stages of the events prior to, during and subsequent to the events.Managing artists and stage, lighting and transport crews whilst touring Ireland, the UK and Germany. Planning and co-ordinating all aspects of the tours. Managing tour budgets and all financial matters whilst on tour.
