About Michael Redding

In my most recent position at Refugee Artisan Initiative, I coordinated communication with external partners, managed volunteer recruitment and planning, designed and wrote regular newsletters, and advocated on behalf of our talented artisans.Additional experience includes policy analysis, journalism, social work within immigrant and refugee communities, and extensive work using Microsoft Programs and CRM softwares.Outside of paid work and internships, I organize in community-led grassroots movements, building coalitions to advocate against imperialism, colonialism, and war profiteering. Through these local mass movements, I employ my knowledge and skills within collectives to build strong movements for the working and colonized people of the world. Some examples of actions we pursue are the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction campaign, letter writing to Palestinian political prisoners, arms embargo to Israel, National Democracy in the Philippines, and an end to interference in just struggles for Indigenous sovereignty worldwide. Our liberations are inherently interconnected, none of us are free until we are all free.
