About Michael Robinson

I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to take apart my toys as a child, but how else was I supposed to put them back together? This innate curiosity and drive led me to hone some of the fundamental skills that I bring to my profession, the primary focus of which has been troubleshooting and solving problems.I am an IT Professional specializing SQL Database Engineering and Analytics, with more than 15 years of experience in database and server management. My focus has always been finding better ways of accomplishing difficult tasks and streamlining processes to minimize wasted time, energy, and hair pulling. Humane IT should be a standard that we all strive for, and I take great pride in helping make that happen.

    When Hobsons acquired Starfish there was much change to absorb. Titles, people, laptops,,, but my responsibility to the company didn't. I have continued to maintain our database infrastructure for the Starfish Platform, and at the same time have been able to put extra resources and effort into improving our technology position for the future. Moving our entire DB platform to AWS RDS, expanding our agility in handling customer data, redesigning key systems within the platform, and pushing preparations for peak load times have all been critical accomplishments for me here.
