After the 2016 election I connected with the Rockland County Chapter of the Sierra Club and the collaborating NJ chapter of 350.org. I became involved in the activities of the divestment committee and have been putting most of my time into developing my blog Shades of green. I hope you will visit it and recommend it to others. It is very empowering to see how you can put your money where your mouth is - and let others know about the important work going on to restore this planet to sane practices to modulate climate change and improve the quality of life.

Through local speaking engagements, regular blasts and articles for their magazine Touching Lives I told the story of how hospice care is a critical service to individuals with a serious progressive disease and their families. I felt honored to work with dedicated professionals and volunteers and to meet courageous families who faced reality and made important decisions to face a loved ones last months, and often find tremendous comfort, relief and support. I still volunteer with Healing Hearts their family bereavement program. It is so heart warming to see parents and children heal after a devastating loss.
