Manage a team of six full time and seven contracted data engineers. Leading the migration and build out of a new enterprise data warehouse (EDW) in Snowflake. Established a development framework to allow the team to self lead, design, develop, and test resilient and self healing data pipelines and data models using DBT and Airflow. Work to ensure the EDW aligns with security and governance policies and high quality development standards.

Primarily responsible for driving company wide data related initiatives across all engineering teams over the last two years. Initiatives include Data Governance and data handling policy updates and training development, transfer of data ownership to individual engineering teams from the central data organization to ensure scalability as SoFi continues to grow, SOX compliant data change process development and roll out, vendor/contract management and overseeing the implementation of a data catalog, and coordination of the migration of our Postgres data warehouse to Snowflake. This bureau designs, develops, implements and maintains over 100 systems and the MDT website in support of the Department’s mission to provide transportation information and services to the public.
