Started my career in the early 80's as a programmer for United Airlines based in Chicago, specializing in automating Travel Agencies around the country using their airline reservation system called Apollo. I remember working with Ron Soukup at United who later went to work for Microsoft and became "The Father of SQL Server". We were working on developing the first windows-based reservation system to run on a windows 1.0 platform. -Pretty exciting stuff back then.In 1989, I transferred to LA for the warmer climate and to focus on PC-automation. In 1994, I received an award from United which included my name being painted on the cockpit of a 747-422 (N174UA) for developing a remote-access, PC-based, system which allowed LA Reservationists to work from home during the Northridge Earthquake. Here’s the link: https://www.airliners.net/photo/United-Airlines/Boeing-747-422/110648.In 1996, was offered a job as Software Development Manager for Micron Technology, Inc. and moved to my hometown of Boise, Idaho where I worked for Micron from 1996-2008 and developed their world-wide shipping system called “shipdoc”.In 2008, I was offered a job as IT Director for a Recycling firm called “RMG” in San Diego. Over the next several years, I developed an ERP recycling software application called “Recovery-Chain Management System” (RCMS) which automated RMG’s manufacturing/shipping operations and integrated with their accounting system. In 2017, RMG was purchased by Prezero US, LLC and I was retained as the IT Director and Software Architect. RCMS is still being used and has been expanded to automate operations and shipping at Prezero US.
