I'm working on building a large-scale, managed compute platform for Databricks. We call this effort 'Serverless' and aim to simplify and improve the existing Databricks products by offering compute that is available more quickly, more reliable, more elastic, and, most importantly, invisible to end users. We are working at an industry-leading scale and heavily utilize Kubernetes to provide a multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, and GCP) platform that is available wherever our customers are. Overall we have a Scala-heavy stack, but leverage a lot of open source technologies to make this possible, namely: Kubernetes (and k8s adjacent projects), Docker, Envoy, Prometheus, Bazel, and more.If you are interested in working at large scale, solving challenging distributed system problems, or simplifying and improving Data and AI products, please reach out - we are hiring!Learn more and apply directly at: https://databricks.com/company/careers
