Also responsible for ensuring that the restaurant is clean and organized, and that all supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for service.My role also involved up-selling and suggestive selling of menu items, handling cash and credit card transactions, and working closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that orders are prepared accurately and delivered to customers in a timely manner, all while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times, and working collaboratively with your fellow staff members.

Oversaw the daily operations of the restaurant's staff, tracked inventory & placed orders, was a keyholder responsible for opening & closing the building, participated in training staff, handed & tracked petty cash using excel, resolved problems and conflicts for both employees & customers.Especially skilled as Expo & Service manager, who is the connection between the front-of-house staff and the back-of-house staff. This means acting as both Expo (calling board & conducting the back-of-house) as well as the Service manager (conducting front-of-house).This looks like managing a team of 20+ people each night during the chaos of dinner service. The kitchen required board-calling, which is where you conduct the team of cooks to ensure all of the sometimes hundreds of orders received in a night are completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality. The front of house requires delegation and oversight to ensure no server is spread too thin, guests are content, and any complaints are addressed promptly and effectively. All of this was done with the goal of efficient service, quality work under pressure, and promoting teamwork and good morale to reach our goals.
