Strategic Sourcing:• In a standard engagement, we're typically asked to facilitate strategic sourcing and cost savings initiatives on behalf of our clients. This process typically kicks off after an initial assessment identifies areas of opportunity within the business. Our role in the tender process begins with data collection / requirements gathering, to taking that business out to market, conducting negotiations, and through contracting.• I've supported clients from many different industries including Private Equity, Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer Products, and Medical Supplies.• In my time at ISG, I've conducted over 30 unique sourcing initiatives and developed a wide range of category expertise with various Direct Material areas of spend as well as Indirect categories such as Professional Services, Logistics & Transportation, HVAC Maintenance, Exterior Signage, Carpeting & Flooring, MRO, and Packaging.Rapid Spend Assessment:• Review of an organization's spend data to help categorize vendors into appropriate buckets, understand sourcing history, and then identify potential savings opportunities.• Analyzed spend across the portfolio of one of the top-5 largest Private Equity firms to identify commonalities where leveraged sourcing opportunities could be pursued.• Supported post-merger spend analysis with a Vision Care & Network Provider to identify redundant IT applications and establish contract expiration road-map.Procurement Transformation:• Developed org sizing model, procurement policy, and metrics to support standing up a new procurement organization within a Luxury Jacket & Apparel Manufacturer and Retailer.
