- Advisor: Dr. Shaoyi Jiang- Detail oriented execution of a multi-day procedure to synthesize zwitterionic double network hydrogels for medical and marine applications - Perform in lab testing of the mechanical strength of synthesized hydrogels, and organize testing results within an excel spreadsheet - Design experimental modifications to determine flaws within the procedure and improve production yield based upon testing results- Prepared panels for coating by sandblasting them and operating an automated drill, thensprayed panels with polymer solution for marine non-fouling and fouling release testing.
