Elearning alternative to Health & Safety Training. Safety Media (Access) had developed a more innovative method of delivering health and safety training to companies across the UK. By allowing the user to access online training courses and also using group face to face training we provided a range of options to satisfy H&S professionals to meet their requirements. Also important in this the ability to monitor and track individuals H&S training record and test on a regular basis. My role was to identify H&S professionals, HR managers and Procurement staff that would benefit from our service to a point of order and account manangement.

Principal Canon account manager for non governmental work in North Wales. Working with a team based in Wolverhampton my role was to identify users in my geographic region that had a print and copy requirement for the entire Canon range of machines. This involved an extensive amount of training and product knowledge review in order to make effective and meaningful proposals to our client base.

Sales and Business Development for this leading engineering services company. Suir are one of Irelands leading electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning contractors. Working with the MD of the group my role was to identify opportunities in the pharmaceutical, commercial, food processing and clean room sectors for our services. This would involve research into industry sectors that were growing in the country where our services would be needed. Identifying engineering and contracting partners that would help us to become the preferred contractor for upcoming project work.

Working for some of my ex colleagues at Kentz, MEC was established to target heavy mechanical installation and fabrication work in Ireland. We focused on generating business opportunities in the pharmaceutical, chemical and heavy industrial sectors including a significant amount of work at cement plants. My role was to identify opportunities and bring them to the point of contract work for our team of fitters, welders and mechanical installation crew up and down the country. Working closely with the directors of this medium sized business we quickly grew the business from a staff of 25 to over 70 full time staff.

Responsible for Business Development for the entire Saudi operation. Working from an initial team of 3-4 people, I was involved with securing and establishing contracts for both engineering and construction work. Our clients included the Defence Industry, Oil & Gas and Petrochem sectors. I was also responsible for the development of a comprehensive project management service for all our clients, which included sourcing CAD engineers through to detailed design and construction management.
