As Deputy Director at IRC San Diego, I oversee and implement a comprehensive suite of direct service programs tailored to meet the needs of our community. Our current programming spans key areas, including Resettlement and Placement, Workforce Development, Financial Capabilities, Education and Training, Small Business Development, Safety and Wellness, and Immigration Services. I lead a team of approximately 100 staff members, managing an operating budget of around $15 million, and support extensive office management and administrative functions.In partnership with our development team, I am responsible for creating and executing an annual fundraising strategy focused on financial growth, aiming to meet matching requirements and expand our programmatic impact. This involves setting measurable goals to secure the necessary funds that sustain and grow our services, with an emphasis on financial contributions over in-kind donations.In my role, I actively represent IRC within the San Diego community, regularly engaging with external audiences to enhance visibility, build awareness, and rally support for our mission. I also work to foster and maintain strategic partnerships with service providers, government agencies, foundations, employers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring a robust support network for our clients and reinforcing IRC’s role as a trusted resource in the region.

As Senior Programs Manager, I oversaw all economic and youth development programs at the IRC San Diego, including early employment, opportunity youth workforce, and career programs, vocational ESL, microenterprise, financial education and asset building, lending, and in school youth academic and social-emotional development programs resulting in a diverse funding portfolio exceeding 5 million dollars a year. I am responsible for designing, resourcing, implementing and evaluating integrated economic development programs that can help the more than 8,000 low-income individuals who access IRC services each year move - and stay - out of poverty. In this role, I oversee the staff of the Center for Financial Opportunity at IRC, a diverse team that includes more than 50 staff across two offices in City Heights and El Cajon
