I am an aspiring legal professional with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and African-American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. I have a strong passion for immigrant rights and social justice, and I have gained valuable experience in providing legal information, education, and advocacy to immigrants through various nonprofit organizations, such as Immigrants Rising, and partnerships with The NYU School of Law Immigrant Rights Clinic and the Federal Defenders of New York. I have also developed skills in community outreach, public speaking, and research through my involvement in academic and civic projects, such as the City of San José Office of Immigrant Affairs and the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors District 3. I am motivated to pursue a career in law and policy that will allow me to continue advancing the causes of immigrant justice and racial equity.
