Michael J. Breslin is a member of Kilpatrick Townsend's Complex Commercial Litigation team, and Chair of the firm's Fintech Practice group. Mr. Breslin's practice focuses on advising technology-based and e-commerce providers in a variety of complex business agreements and legal disputes. A significant portion of Mr. Breslin's practice is devoted to counseling clients to minimize business risk through negotiated arrangements, and to representing clients with respect to financial technologies, telecom, privacy and data security issues, and in complex contract and licensing disputes in both litigation and arbitration. Mr. Breslin is currently representing or has represented AT&T, Equifax, NCR, Acuity Brands, Nestle Waters, Georgia Pacific, United Community Bank and The Angel Oak Companies in a variety of complex business disputes or data security issues. Mr. Breslin is a skilled adviser on legal risk management issues and places a high premium on strategic business and pre-litigation advisement to minimize litigation and security risks to his clients. He has broad experience in the courtroom and has represented numerous technology-focused clients, including several Fortune 500 companies, in highly complex business disputes and civil litigation matters.Specialties: Fintech, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, privacy and data protection, publicity rights, trade secret misappropriation, confidential information and computer systems protection, consumer class action defense (particularly in the internet retailing area), software licensing and implementation, unfair and deceptive e-commerce practices, false claims act defense, franchise systems litigation, e-mail and digital media marketing, and restrictive covenant drafting and litigation.
