Led a brilliant software team to include trucks in the automated future. Experience building teams, development infrastructures and the processes for working with embedded vehicle control software, cloud architectures, ELT pipelines, analysis, management/control and preparing for the monetization of the insight provided by the various IOT telemetry collected. Managed the functional safety, security, high availability and quality traceability systems required to operate in the public domain. Peloton links pairs of heavy trucks using vehicle to vehicle communication to form close formation platoons, controlling braking and acceleration while the driver steers. The system connects forward collision avoidance technology on both trucks, mitigating the most common truck accidents. The reduction in aerodynamic drag in these platoons provides unprecedented fuel economy savings for both the trailing and the leading truck. L2 operation provides an immediate revenue path while working on future L4 capabilities.
