Significant contributions include: • Merging of the SOC and the 5 TOC Control Centers into 2 Centers (Little Rock and Jackson). • NERC Certification of TOC Dispatchers.• Established the New Operator Training Program.• Established the RTA, Lead, and Switching Operator Qualification Programs.• Established a Power System Basics Training Program that is now available company wide.• Coordinator of Entergy’s 2016 NATF Peer Review.

Led a team of Shift Supervisors and Engineers that were responsible for managing real-time operations for Entergy’s NERC Transmission Operator function. Significant contributions include: • Entergy’s MISO Market Integration. • Spinoff of Entergy’s Transmission organization to ITC Holdings (ultimately canceled).• Assisted MISO in transitioning the Independent Coordinator of Transmission (ICT) function from SPP to MISO.• Developed the Load at Risk Notification program and process.

Responsible for providing engineering support for the System Operators performing the Reliability Coordinator, Transmission Operator, and Balancing Authority NERC functions. Supported reliability projects by developing processes and procedures for the System Operators. Significant contributions include:• Helped establish Southwest Power Pool’s (SPP) Independent Coordinator of Transmission (ICT) for Entergy. • Developed original versions of many Transmission Operation’s procedures that are still in use today.• Ensured the SOC was prepared for the NERC Reliability Standards becoming mandatory in 2007. • Developed the Electronic System Notes Software program that remained in use until it was replaced by TOMS in 2021.• Helped establish the SOC Backup Control Center.• Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) Project that deployed PMUs throughout Entergy’s footprint.

Performed the NERC Reliability Coordinator, Transmission Operator and Balancing Authority responsibilities for Entergy. Ensured that the transmission system was operated safely and reliably. Administered the Entergy Open Access Transmission Tariff. Became proficient in using the Alstom/GE Energy Management System (EMS), SCADA, and State Estimator (RTNET and STNET). Significant contributions include:• Developed the Floor Applications that is still in use today.• Created the PTDF and OTDF application that was used to manage congestion on the transmission system until Entergy joined MISO in 2013.• Proficiency in running power flow studies using the State Estimator.• Proficiency in alarm management, managing congestion, generator imbalance, inadvertent, and point-to-point scheduling.• Obtained the NERC System Operator Certification.

Developed a control software used for controlling Pacific Transducer Data Recorders during explosion testing.Developed a calibration software to be used to calibrate accelerometers, pressure and air-blast gages.Installed, balanced, and analyzed data taken from pressure gages, air-blast gages, accelerometers, and strain gages during full-scale explosion testing.
