We are also an IB DP school and I have just become the IB CP coordinator. I am also the Programme Leader for the Cambridge Professional Development Qualification, again being the first school in Bulgaria to offer this. Our school has a strong belief in building the whole child and showing them the tools they can master in order to develop strong transferable skills to adapt to an ever-changing world.I work with a strong team of teachers who not only utilise the academic side of our programme but are focused on building on these foundations. To this end we have a whole school approach to:- Thinking Based Learning - Utilising our Keys to Success, which link with the TBL- Developing and implementing Concept Based Learning in order to allow pupils to develop deeper understandings and see how these can be transferred across subjects and ideas.I believe growing your own staff and offering opportunities for development and advancement are key to a successful school. I have identified people and create roles within the school that allow for the delegation of responsibilities and this in turn has allowed the teachers to have more voice in the development of the school. As a DfE registered school, we have successfully passed three BSO inspections which highlighted the many good and outstanding areas of our school. We are the only school in the country that has the recognition to be able to offer positions to NQTs and have had our first candidate successfully complete training with us.As an IB DP school, being able to complete the application process in six months rather than the two years, we have had our first cohort of pupils accepted into their first choice universities and some placed in the top 10% results worldwide. We are also now the first school in Eastern Europe to offer the IB CP as well. Show less
