About Mark Munsell
Growing up, I was obsessed with figuring out how things worked. I loved taking things apart and putting them back together, or better yet, turning them into something different. Though, my mom wasn’t as thrilled when I re-engineered her household appliances! That passion continued in college, where I completed coursework in engineering, computer science, neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology. For fun, I love traveling and visiting Disney parks. It's fascinating to see how Disney parks operate and create such an immersive experience for guests. My curiosity for how things work has afforded me with a keen ability to quickly understand complex problems and develop elegant solutions. It’s also helped to cultivate my passion for organizational and operational design, to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and profitability. I love finding innovative ways to get things done and turning those ideas into reality. I’m also fascinated by how people “work,” which is why I decided to major in psychology. Doing so provided me with the initial building blocks to become a good leader. As a gay man who navigated many difficulties in life, I understand that diversity of team members’ backgrounds, skill sets, and personality types fosters creativity, problem solving, and improved execution. Understanding what motivates individuals allows me to be a better leader, driving enthusiasm, collaboration, integrity, ambition, and productivity. One of my greatest joys is helping others succeed beyond what they thought possible.
