Senior Testing Engineer
Currentperforming protection & control design on various substation projects. Duties/responsibilities include the following: Create/modify one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements, and cable lists for high voltage (13.8kV up to 380KV). Coordinate with and provide technical assistance to SCADA engineers, substation physical engineers, and control design staff in order to fully develop system integration of protection, control, and monitoring systems. Provide engineering, construction, and testing & commissioning support for projects. Apply field mark-ups of project as-built drawings with minimal supervision. Assist project manager to develop scope of work and conceptual design for the projects. Performing CT, VT Secondary loops, CT primary injection and bus bar stability test for various voltage levels with different bus bar configuration like “single , one and half , double BB ’’. Testing of GIS SF6 gas purity and dew point with confirming proper sealing for compartment. Performing Check for all switchgear and GIS/AIS panels for all voltage levels 13.8/33/66/110/380KV, apply required modifications and provide required interlocks between upstream and downstream for different manufacturers like Siemens, Alstom, Schneider, ABB, Hyundai. Complete testing of Synchronizing Scheme for all LV/MV/HV/EHV switchgears and GIS. Performing final Trip Test for 13.8/33/110/132/380KV breakers. Scheme testing for protection and control panels for different voltage levels LV/MV/HV/EHV: Load shedding (UF and UV) protection panels, OHL, UGC, Bus bar, STUB Protection , capacitor, Reactor and Transformer protection panels Testing of various types of control panels (AVR,ACCS,ABTS and FCCS). Testing and apply Final setting of different types of relays such as (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Micom, GE and SEL).
