Mamun secured his second master's in applied statistics and data science from the department of statistics at Jahangirnagar University and also his first master's in development studies (MDS) from the department of economics at the East West University in Bangladesh with a dissertation on older people's disaster risk reduction and coping strategies. Besides this, he holds a four-year Bachelor degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. He has extensive working experience in rural areas of Bangladesh. Currently, Mamun is working as a Head of Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL), NABAPALLAB, Humanitarian and Climate Action Program at CARE, Bangladesh. He has over 16 years of theoretical and practical experiences in the development field, particularly in the areas of climate change, disaster risk reduction (DRR), humanitarian response, health and nutrition, WASH, education, livelihoods, food security, and market system development projects.
