Served in the capacity of Audit Senior in the Assurance (ASR) group of EY Ford Rhodes (a member firm of the EY network) for over 3.5 years. I have a vast experience of assurance and non - assurance engagements including statutory audits and group reporting engagements. As an experienced member of the assurance group, my key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:- Planning, execution and completion phase of the audit (as per requirements of the International Standards on Auditing) - Preparation of financial statements (as per requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standards and the local statutory requirements) - Reporting of significant issues and internal control deficiencies to the management. - Other varied special nature assurance and non - assurance engagements. My experience in the assurance group has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive and regulatory environments of different industries, the accounting and internal control systems implemented along with the key business processes at various organizations.The key engagements that I've been involved in during my time period here include:- AGP Limited:Served in the capacity of audit team lead whose roles included planning and executing the audit in accordance with the requirements of the relevant ISAs. I was involved in key audit matters such as review of prospective financial information used in the assessment of value in use of acquired trademarks having indefinite useful lives in accordance with IAS 36 and assessment of refund liability in accordance with IFRS 15.- Amreli Steels Limited:As the audit team lead, I was actively involved in determining the key audit risks and planning and performing audit procedures designed to address those risks. I had got the opportunity to apply EY Helix (Subledger Analyzer) to execute the audit using a data driven approach.
