Spent the first year onsite (in the capacity of a Site Engineer) working closely with the offshore teams for the facility design, installation and testing of the deployed systems. This included installation, testing and commissioning of bespoke hardware and software systems – including installation of servers, POS terminals, road side sensors, cabinets, network deployment, electrical terminations and installation of software (Windows, Unix, Oracle, Informix). Was also involved in the facility design process and got trained to read and understand the electrical and civil drawings.After commissioning the site, was provided with a team of 3 technicians to ensure 24/7 operation of the hardware and software as well as provide technical assistance to the onsite Operations & Management team.Developed the first set of Standard Operating Procedures for routine and preventive maintenance in line with the local environment.This was a model site for the customer as it was the first of its kind in the country. Future projects depended heavily on the success of this deployment.
