• Led company-wide legal compliance efforts related to newly enacted and amended laws in the global privacy and software arenas. Individually responsible for ensuring enterprise-wide legal compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), EU ePrivacy Directive, CAN-SPAM Act, and TCPA. Contracts included master service agreements, statements of work, vendor contracts, nondisclosure agreements, financing agreements, and employment-related agreements.• Individually responsible for company-wide legal compliance under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Acted as the sole legal advisor for Yello's leadership and information security teams. As a result, Yello was one of the first forty companies to achieve legal compliance (certification from the Department of Commerce achieved in August 2016). Tasks included updating Yello's Privacy Policy and reviewing Yello's information security procedures as needed for compliance.• Functioned as the internal point person for all contract renewal, management, and related negotiations for the 100 person staff, including evaluating potential risk, consolidating various contracts into complex renewal agreements, and providing analyses of available options throughout the contracting process.• Monitored evolving regulations and litigation in the SaaS industry, including developments in data privacy, international data transfer, and cybersecurity.• Acted solely as Yello's client relationship management software (Salesforce) content regulator. This included being the threshold between data input by all employees and the subsequent “go-live” of such data, upon which all contract data is disseminated to the entire company. Subsequently spearheaded the management and insertion of all contract data into Salesforce to allow for enterprise-wide data reporting and analysis.
