About Mónica Franco Garcés
Hi, everyone! I'm Mónica Franco and I translate from English and Catalan to Spanish (Spain).I have been interested in languages for as long as I can remember and I started learning English when I was very young. I have a passion for literature, films and art, and my love for translation started when I was studying philology. I used to go to conferences and talks about translation and I slowly started to immerse myself in this amazing world, until I decided I wanted to be part of it. Something I highly value is constant learning, both in my personal and professional realms; translation happens to offer me the possibility to bring all that knowledge together, which is why I put so much love and passion into it.Throughout my education I've specialised in literary and audiovisual translation (subtitling, dubbing and accessibility), but I also work with texts in different subject areas.
