Responsible for Adult & Online Education development, curriculum process, faculty appointments, academic advising, aligning department policies and procedures with the college’s current mission and objectives and retention of at-risk and adult students.

In the Success Center, we aim to help guide struggling college students onto the path of academic success. We provide holistic mentoring and academic support for students who struggle with learning disabilities and other special needs. I manage an office of approximately 10-15 student tutors, handling day to day operations of remediation, accommodation, and success help for college students. We work to help students through time management, study skills, and financial responsibility. We pair mentor tutors with struggling students to come alongside them and grow in their studies. We coach, mentor, and encourage students on their journey towards their degree. I am a member of the academic standing committee and counsel fellow faculty members on student issues and concerns. I also teach College Writing and Technology for Academic Success.

I provide English language instruction to individuals from many different countries. In the past, my students have come from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Jordan, Columbia, France, and Syria. I develop and implement differentiated curriculum based on the needs of my students. I prepare sample tests for students studying for the iELTS and TOEFL tests, engage in real-life dialogue, and encourage language learning through immersion. I instruct students in reading, speaking, writing, pronunciation and accent reduction.I provide paper editing services for my former ESL students who are now in college. I provide corrective feedback, helping the student develop their writing skills further while in their undergraduate or graduate studies.

I worked with non-traditional students to help them through the process of returning to school. I counselled students in their career aspirations, education plan, and academic progress. I analyzed college transfer credits, verified student financial aid, and tracked student's academic progress. I tutored students in writing, APA formatting, computer skills, and career development.I was a member of the Student Academic Affairs Committee, the Satisfactory Academic Progress Committee, the Student Writing Task Force, and the Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. I organized school-wide writing seminars, facilitated on campus new student orientations, implemented student and faculty course evaluations, and worked as the Prior Learning Assessment liaison.I was involved in developing a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program at GBC where adults can earn college credit for life knowledge and experience. I am passionate about helping students accelerate their education, earn a degree, and fulfill their lifelong goals.I also instructed online classes in Humanities, College Writing, Study Skills and Research Development at Grace Bible College. I trained new employees and facilitated writing workshops for the whole student body.

I instructed a diverse group of lower-intermediate Adult English language learners on writing, reading, speaking, listening, and grammar. I developed my own differentiated lesson plans to engage the learner, have fun, and deepen language skills. Each 4-hr lesson consisted of a grammatical focus, vocabulary, hands-on activity, a written activity, and assessment throughout.

As a workforce training hotline administrator and recruiter, I oversaw the communications between possible workforce trainees and the training program. I answered phone call inquiries regarding a 6-week workforce initiative training program and registered eligible participants in the program. I worked for the unemployed, underemployed and homeless to enable them to get training for jobs and search for new jobs.

I managed the front desk of a fast-paced academic building. I answered guests calls, conducted campus tours, managed radio station guest's appointments, and tracked all inter-office mail.
