Profile bio

About Monique D.

One of my defining characteristics is curiosity. To know how things, processes and people operate. Curiosity has taken me on many journey’s, from exploring the world to living and working in the metropolis of London. It drives my need to innovate and create in all areas of my life. Harnessing my curiosity has seen many of my personal and professional achievements come to fruition. Understanding the intricate workings of end to end processes, paired with my innovative and solution focussed mindset has seen me thrive in my current role as a Supply Chain Manager for a Relocation Management Company. Beginning in an entry level role, I scoured through every facet of the CRM system, researched the extensive supplier network, service offerings and overall departmental operations. With this knowledge I assisted in defining the supply chain department, creating processes and consolidating the network. As the company grew, so too did my position within the supply chain team, becoming manager in the EMEA region and leading a small team of three. With this natural career progression came many learning curves. I diversified my skill set to foster key stakeholder relationships, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage escalations to ensure the best outcome for clients. Collaborating with other departments, I implemented client specific supplier matrices to maximise budgets and minimise risk. Curiosity has taken me full circle, landing me back in New Zealand eager to learn, see and do more. If you want to connect about harnessing your own curiosity or discuss how my curious, forward thinking mindset could benefit you, please feel free to get in touch!
