I was hired as the Utility Billing Clerk in June of 1999 and became the Assistant to the City Clerk in August of 2000. I was appointed as the City Clerk in January 2002. I serve as the Clerk of Council at all City Council meetings and record and prepare minutes of those meetings. My duties include Human Resources/Personnel/Benefits, Payroll, Liability Insurance, and Finance/Budget. I supervise the Accounts Payable and the Utility Billing Clerks and act as back-up when needed. I currently hold a certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk, Certified Local Government Finance Officer Level I and II, a Certified Human Resource Manager and a Certified Court Clerk. I have attended and received the Certificate of Local Government Management thru the Management Development Program (Courses 1, 2, & 3) offered by the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
