I am a recent graduate of the University of Georgia where I earned my BSFCS in Human Development and Family Science, in hopes of becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. I also completed my minor in Communication Studies which has allowed me to gain confidence in public and interpersonal communication. I am passionate about helping individuals, problem-solving, and fighting the stigma surrounding mental health. While attending UGA I have gained many opportunities to learn and practice my skills in service-learning courses. Last spring, I worked on iPrevail as a peer coach with adolescents and adults on mental health and motivation concerns in their lives. I got to practice my active listening skills and learn more about the cognitive behavioral therapy framework. I also got the opportunity to work on Project Free through UGA Extension where I aid in the Elevate couples virtual workshop and create social media content for their Instagram.
