In this role I work on various card network acquiring initiatives, bin sponsorship initiatives, and other topics as they present themselves. Involved activities:- Data analysis on transaction settlement reporting vs. cash settlement and root cause analysis on differences. - Identifying and pitching various engineering projects (new reporting pipelines, changes to existing pipeline outputs, etc) - Working cross functionally with partnerships operations, disputes, cost, clearing and various other engineering and ops teams on operational themes and process improvements. - Research and analysis on various portions of our funding pipelines. Past investigations have included:value add tax on interchange, identification of misrepresented dispute funding, reserve holdbacks and associated internal updates for output from research.- Significant work on "unparsed" cash which includes ruby regex updates to assign ownership and transaction substance. Has included creating designs for small and moderate engineering projects to reduce financial exposure and identification period for unidentified cash through our parsers.Generally I have a strong grasp on the Stripe and am often relied upon as a subject matter expert as it relates to the intersection of cards, finance systems, and general reconciliation.

I owned payments cash accounting which was performed using a moderately complex set of accounting owned SQL based processes to create accounting data from ops data and batch data into monthly JEs.- Created logic and process improvements saved approximately 2-3 days manual labor between batch entry creation and account reconciliation improvements and tweaks.- Significant involvement and steering of Oracle FAH acceptance testing design and original subledger designs/requirements. - Heavily influenced requirements and designs for a valuation engine for our automated FX trading/"hedging" platform. Created a lighter process for valuation and JEs for manually executed forwards.- Designed processes for our publishing entities (Stripe Press & Stripe Increment) previously treated cash basis. Included recommended overhauls and integrations to cover Inventory, AP, Revenue, and Royalties accounting. Manually modeled GAAP P&L for quarterly reporting to Editor in lieu of Finance support and accounting tooling.- Owned and overhauled reconciliation ("regulatory") reporting to a significant BIN Sponsor. - Owned annual technical assessment of new or updated card network & BIN sponsorship agreements to determine balance sheet presentation based on associated rights/obligations in SSAs & contracts with financial partners.During my ~2 years in Stripe Accounting I took on a significant statement of work and maintained high degrees of process execution through tremendous growth and complexity increases. Willing steward of any orphaned, cross-functional / cash-adjacent processes which grew to include legal levies, debt collection remittances, maintenance of unintended processing liabilities (e.g. excess network funding payable to different processor) and various other oddities. A c-suite executive glowingly tells me whenever I see him that "you always did the job that was needed, not just the job that was asked" which I believe sums up my experience and contributions nicely.

Transitioned to Seattle to Senior on a F500 tech/travel/"internet retailing" engagement and to assist the West region in all things data analytics and audit transformation as a data analytics coach.

Senior covering "Treasury" and Global Close and Consolidations processes for F500 automotive engagement as part of a significant auditor transition during FY18. Wrote control and other SOX documentation and testing from scratch for over 10% of the ICFR audit on a Canvas task basis. Created and owned a methodology for quarterly cash flow flux, working closely with financial services team to explain all significant cash flow activities and adjustments to senior and junior partners.

- Assigned to execute integrated audit procedures primarily for a privately held manufacturer within the diversified industrials - primary metals sector. - Experience included extensive execution of control walkthroughs and testing and substantive procedures for Derivatives, Inventory Valuation, Revenue, Purchase-to-Pay. - Interest and enthusiasm in applying knowledge of interrelations of commodity pricing and client operational factors to analyze and understand drivers of aforementioned accounts to improve audit output and quality of procedures performed. - Additional assistance provided on SEC filings (10Q, 10K, Debt Offerings).

I interned during busy season and gained experience in Healthcare, Real Estate, and Manufacturing sectors through both integrated and non-integrated audits. Audit responsibilities included the execution of planned procedures over Cash, AP, Investments, Fixed Assets, and Leases including various ad-hoc tasks.

Responsible for verifying and paying select contractor invoices in excess of $1MM per month. Initiated an audit on the Refinery's safety shoe policy to ensure controls in place were working as planned. Worked with Refinery Admins to create a process for ordering Fire Resistant Clothing. Put controls in place to ensure developing process will not allow for erroneous orders from Refinery employees. Various analysis performed to recommend budgetary changes for future years.

Worked in Marketing and Transportation Engineering with the Planning and Cost Management Department, supporting Pipeline projects. Major cost tracking responsibilities for projects with static money constraints. Provided forecasts to Project Leaders and management. Became key financial reviewer for assuring invoice accuracy of core contractors on projects involved with. Direct cost savings of $13,500 from correcting invoice errors. Maintained Project Leader cost and construction schedule portfolio.

Work closely with Administrative Director to ensure sailing camp runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for 6 counselors and 50+ kids (aged 7-18). Duties include boat repairs and maintenance, curriculum creation, program implementation, assisting Administrative Director and Youth Sailing Chairman with other miscellaneous duties.

Worked in Kinetico's Accounting department for 3 weeks during December of 2011. Duties Included:Performing ratio analysis on financial statements and tax returns for Controller to help in determining credit lines of dealer companies.Assisting in year-end close activities including tag control and subsequent audit of inventory, keying inventory tags into system, and reconciling bank statements to general ledger.
