Participated in NRW-Scholarship Program for students.I worked on part of a large project which focused on semi-automatically segment brain regions from MRI brain images.My job was to implement methods which automatically extract 2D sample segmentations in different slice distances and orientations to build gold standard data and starting segmentations for interpolation procedures. Two merging options were implemented to combine the results from different orientations. Evaluation results and images are saved in CSV format and Analyse format.The methods were implemented in C++ using Eclipse as IDE and integrated into an application using the Medical Imaging Interaction on Linux platform.
