Overview:I am focused on ensuring consistent and effective use of technology to improve student learning outcomes and teacher practices. Responsible for evaluating the school's technology usage, supporting the implementation of new technologies, providing staff training on data access and utilisation, liaising with external IT providers, identifying opportunities for innovation, evaluating the impact of initiatives, leading whole-school improvement plans, exploring emerging digital learning approaches, and collaborating with other staff. The overall goal is to leverage technology for data-driven decision making, enhance teaching and learning, and promote school-wide progress.The details: + Evaluate, select, and integrate ed-tech that align with the school's curriculum and teaching goals. + Providing training to teachers and staff on effectively using educational technology. + Ensure school compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Cayman Islands laws.+ Evaluate the use of technology in the school using strategies such as audits, usage reports, and data analysis. + Oversee the work of the data administrator. + Liaise with outside IT support providers. + Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement through proactive engagement and feedback from stakeholders. + Research, evaluate, and provide recommendations on new digital learning tools and emerging notions of empathic digital learning.+ Oversee the maintenance, upgrade, and integration of school data systems.+ Troubleshoot technology issues related to educational tools and platforms. + Collaborate with curriculum teams to ensure technology used enhances learning outcomes. + Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on purchasing and using data, equipment, software, and online applications where needs identified.
