Work in the Surveillance & Reconnaissance Group of Leidos as a Senior Software Engineer, Test Lead, and manager. Currently on application development for System-on-Chip cooperative effort with architecture, hardware and software groups to integrate system level development of applications and hardware design. Working as ‘Integration and Test’ lead for SOC project. Previous projects involved Rational Rose Real Time for C++ running on a VxWorks embedded system (T4240) for complex processing applications and software development tasks related to translating Matlab/C++ applications and algorithms for dual use.Collaborated within the Security and Transportation Technology Business Unit on all product lines involved in the x-ray scanning of automobiles, trucks and shipping containers. Developed C++ applications in the areas of image acquisition, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and hardware communications/control. Developed C# application tools for use by production, installation and engineering. Engaged in algorithm development for OCR, including region of interest finding, segmentation and OCR engine accuracy/confidence improvements. Analyzed the performance of customer sites to verify functionality and fulfill Site Acceptance Test requirements required for final payment. Managed the performance of summer software interns for two years.Provided services within the Defense and Maritime Systems Business Unit supporting the Navy robotics group at The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego. Developed C/C++ software applications, including embedded Linux systems integrated into autonomous robotic vehicles for sensor data acquisition and command/control. Worked on solutions for autonomous waypoint navigation with obstacle avoidance, near and far field avoidance schemes, fix and moving target tracking. Collaborated within a team integrating various sensors into autonomous vehicles, including radar, stabilized camera, stereo vision cameras, GPS and LADAR.
