Michelle Schaefer is a senior technology leader with 18 years of ExxonMobil IT experience. Since 2021, she has held the position of IT Manager for the Public & Government Affairs, Law and Digital Marketing portfolios. In this role, she leads a global team of IT professionals who manage a wide range of applications, develop and execute digital strategies, and actively promote leveraging technology for business success. The Law portfolio includes technology in support of processes such as eDiscovery, litigation, and global compliance. Public & Government Affairs and Digital Marketing encompasses technology to support employee communications, social media, incident response, brand and websites, and other external engagements. Over the course of her career, Michelle has held various technology positions with ExxonMobil, supporting a variety of organizations including Upstream business lines, Corporate departments, and IT Strategy. Her experiences include application development and support, supervisor roles in infrastructure and applications, change management, business relationship management, IT strategy and planning. She’s had the opportunity to work with diverse cultures and visit many of ExxonMobil’s offices around the world during her career.Michelle received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, at Texas A&M University in 2003. She currently resides with her family in Cypress, Texas.
