Managed the Kansas City Southern Railroad’s locomotive emissions testing and compliance program achieving 100% Tier II-IV Environmental Compliance (first in the industry). Manager of Administration - Conducted daily management and oversight of the engineering material inventories across 3,500 miles U.S. Had additional duty of managerial oversight of the KCS Rail Welding Facility to include weld scheduling, car scheduling, safety, technical inspection of rail tolerances, facility maintenance, and personnel. Accomplishments are as follows: 1. Conducted over 3,500 miles of field inventories that resulted in over $1 million in misplaced second hand material recovered and placed back into inventory. 2. Set up a track welding facility and refined work procedures, that resulted in the welding of 360,000 linear feet of track with zero accidents. This was a total of 8 trains which has saved the railroad $1.2 million in freight costs from the usual vendor for welded rail. Personally responsible for over 690,000 linear feet of rail & other than track inventory valued at 200 million dollars.3. Part of managerial team that locked in a standard of inventory accuracy rate at 99% in all assigned centralized distribution activities (CDAs) within the KCS’s operational area.
