I led a nine-person distributed team in the AWS EC2 organization, formerly part of Lambda. Lambda’s ENI Management Service (LEMS) is a small, but customer obsessed team, leading innovation within the serverless networking space.LEMS is an internally facing AWS service that manages the lifecycle of Hyperplane VPN 2 VPN networking interfaces. This allows customers to attach Lambda functions to VPCs, as opposed to the public AWS network.

I lead three globally distributed engineering teams, implementing products that enable our customers build web applications faster, realizing a quicker time to value and ultimately increasing customer retention.In this role, I architected and delivered Acquia Code Studio - a Drupal-focused implementation of Gitlab that allowed Acquia customers to easily develop, test, and deploy applications to Acquia Cloud - all without needing to hire and maintain expensive DevOps experts. My teams also built Acquia CMS - their latest distribution of Drupal, custom built to speed time to value on the Acquia platform. Prior to March of 2020, we asked our customers to build and maintain their own Drupal implementations mostly from scratch, which was a massive technical hurdle. My team completed a multi-year effort to deliver ACMS in March of 2021. Acquia now offers a complete low-code solution for Drupal, with maintenance provided by Acquia. Customers can now build reasonable websites within days, not months.

In 2018, I was promoted to Manager, Technical Services, taking on a globally distributed team of 8 Technical Architects, each delivering enterprise Drupal builds for clients in multiple industries across the globe. I served as a point of technical escalation for projects in PS, and helped to ensure technical quality across the organization. I also assisted with Solution Architecture, and helped estimate levels of effort and resource planning, which enabled our sales organization.Additionally, I delivered multiple in-person consulting engagements: security and performance audits, architecture workshops, and product integration workshops.

My teams delivered projects for large media companies, pharmaceutical companies, government, and more. I spent a significant amount of time in this role building projects capable of powering many websites, using Acquia Site Factory.

We worked in an Agile/Scrum team environment, and scaled the site from its beginning stages to over 2 million monthly unique visitors. Day to day duties included managing a small development staff, Drupal module design and development, automated process design and management, systems administration, project management, and requirements gathering. I also served as ScrumMaster for our scrum team.
