About Mark Stephens

Highly motivated and driven individual with experience gained across both the Retail and Construction sectors. Worked with Asda initially in Retail for eight years, before moving into a Head office role acting in a liaison capacity between Head Office and stores undergoing remodel and extension schemes with responsibility for: landing change within agreed sales targets; managing implementation budgets; and maintaining retail standards with the affected stores. Success achieved in this role, resulted in promotion to a field based Store Development Manager role heading up construction project teams delivering remodels/extensions/acquisitions and new stores across Britain from inception to completion, to time and to cost.Using experience gained across previous positions, delivered a move into a new role in the Construction sector managing and developing specialist business units for Portakabin.Following success at Portakabin, moved to the Co-op as a Construction Manager delivering Refits, facilities works and special projects across a wide and varied Property Portfolio, including working on listed buildings, multi-occupancy sites and traditional larger store formats.
